Spanish Property
A simple checklist for your Spanish property viewing
A little preparation helps you notice the details, ask clearer questions and remember what you have seen.
Bring your own priorities
Before a viewing, write down five things you want to check. These might include room layout, natural light, access, outdoor space or storage.
Take your wish list with you and leave space for notes. If you are viewing several homes, a consistent checklist makes it easier to compare them afterwards.
Take your time with the everyday details
Think about how you would use each room. Where would you work, relax or welcome friends? Notice the route from the street to the front door, and how the indoor and outdoor spaces connect.
Ask permission before taking photos or measurements. Record questions you cannot answer during the visit so they can be followed up separately.
Reflect before deciding
After the viewing, write down what you liked and what still needs checking. Separate your impressions from information that has been confirmed.
A viewing is a chance to explore whether a home could suit you. Use the next conversation to clarify your questions and decide what you would like to look at next.
